GridGain also provides Community Edition which is a distribution of Apache Ignite made available by GridGain. It is the fastest and easiest way to get started with Apache Ignite. The Community Edition is generally more stable than the Apache Ignite release available from the Apache Ignite website and may contain extra bug fixes and features that have not made it yet into the release on the Apache website.

Apache Ignite Installation and Deployment Options

Apache Ignite sets no deployment requirements and can be easily deployed on-premise or on any cloud environment. For instance, Apache Ignite cluster can run stand-alone or within Kubernetes and Docker containers, as well as on Apache Mesos and Hadoop Yarn. It can also run on physical servers as well as within virtual environments.

Refer to the cluster configuration section to learn more about Apache Ignite nodes' auto-discovery configuration for a variety of physical machines, cloud, and network environments.
